The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has just go a whole lot more beastly. It recently returned to Germany's Nurburgring and recorded a lap time that beats its previous record set back in 2008. The 2012 ZR1 recorded 7:19.63 around the ring, which is more than six seconds faster than the previous Corvette's best time. The results were in large part thanks to some very grippy tires.
Now we have to wait to see how the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche GT will respond.
