With Britney Spears featured in the latest promo for the new car, it seems that Volkswagen wants the Beetle to remain exclusively a chicks cars. A video of the all new BMW M5 in action. It actually looks more sleek and planted than the outgoing model. It even looks decent in blue, but it would look better in black (but what car doesn't). Very nice car, which happens to perform better -- on paper -- than the last M5. Me want.

VIDEO: 2012 Corvette ZR1 Beats Nurburgring Record

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has just go a whole lot more beastly. It recently returned to Germany's Nurburgring and recorded a lap time that beats its previous record set back in 2008. The 2012 ZR1 recorded 7:19.63 around the ring, which is more than six seconds faster than the previous Corvette's best time. The results were in large part thanks to some very grippy tires.

Now we have to wait to see how the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche GT will respond.

German automakers have a lot of pride, but apparently it's not beyond them to copy other automakers. Case in point, Audi liked Chrysler's Imported from Detroit commercial -- the one featuring the Chrysler 200 and Eminem -- so much that it copied it, almost to perfection, for the promotion of its new Audi A6 Wagon.
