In Europe, it will be powered by one 1.6L gasoline engine and a slew of diesel engine. Top speed for the most powerful model is 142 mph, with a 0 to 60 time of 7.2 seconds. All engines are mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox, while a new 8-speed automatic transmission is optional. A coupe and convertible version will follow a year or so later.
Now that we have that out of way, who here likes the look of the new 1 Series? I think it looks a bit iffy with those droopy eyes. The current 1 Series didn't win any beauty pageants but at least it was bold in its own unique way. Aside from those headlights, everything elese looks OK, especially the new interior.
