SUVs Now Safer than Cars

I have always thought for the longest the time that SUVs were safer than cars because of their size, but apparently this wasn't the case. However, a recent study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed that SUVs had significantly fewer driver fatalities from 2006 to 2009 than cars, thanks in large part to advances in anti-rollover technology.

And the vehicles with highest driver fatalities? Does the Nissan 350Z and Chevy Aveo come to mind? Yea...
